So today is part II of my holiday home tour. Last week, I showed all of our new decor in the foyer and dining room. For the living room, I have kept to the traditional red and green color palates. I still feel like I have some work to do for next year, but I hope that showing my home will inspire and find something interesting. Every year, I set aside a small budget for Christmas decorations
So, let’s dive in!

New this year is a Christmas themed gallery wall from finds that I acquired either during the after Christmas sales last year or as the year went on. My year round gallery wall is here, but I swapped out this deer head, the letter board (this one is similar), and the table decor to create something fun and festive. My son’s favorite Christmas movie is Home Alone, so I made sure to create something a little special for him with the letter board (plus, it fit perfectly!)
On the opposite wall is the mantle. This year, I kept it more simple with red accents and my fabulous Merry and Bright sign. Red really is the quintessential Christmas color pop and it’s perfect for this mantle.
While this room has some of the trickiest lighting for photographs, I am hoping that Santa brings me a little something this year to help out with that!
Do you notice my slight obession with Christmas pillows? They are just so darn cute, and honestly, I could have bought way more. Actually, I really do have a few more that didn’t make it out this year.
Of course, we have our advent calendar front and center to help with the organization. You can read more about how I made it and use it to keep my holidays on track here. I found these mirrors last year for super cheap (about $20 for both) at HomeGoods and I added some of these small boxwood wreaths to them.
As with every year, I will be welcoming family to stay with us over Christmas and into the new year.
Whether you’re hosting or just like to spiff up the mantle for the holidays, I hope you found some of my inexpensive Christmas DIY’s to be inspirational!
