This White Chocolate Martini, or chocolatini, is a sweet cocktail with creamy white chocolate liqueur and vodka that is garnished with red raspberries for a beautiful presentation ideal for bridal showers, girls’ night, or Valentine’s Day.

Table Of Contents
Today I thought it would be fun to share a sweet and creamy Valentine’s Day cocktail. Similar to a melted milkshake, this White Chocolate Martini is a sweet dessert drink for a sweet occasion!
The Chocolatini is a chocolate-flavored vodka martini made with chocolate liqueurs and doesn’t really resemble the classic dry Martini made with gin and vermouth. I love this recipe because it’s rich, kissed with holiday color, and has a luxurious, velvety finish. A bright red raspberry garnish and sprinkles rim presentation provides color to contrast the creamy white.
Sip one with your sweetheart this Valentine’s Day or make a batch for your next bridal shower or bachelorette party. Of course, why not pair this delight with a sweet treat like Biscoff Brownies or Chocolate Cheesecake Bars.
Ingredients and Substitutions
Here is an overview of what you will need to make this festive white chocolate martini:
White Chocolate Liqueur. Godiva’s white chocolate liqueur is probably the most famous brand, but my store carries Mozart (pictured above). It is quite good as well. Merry’s also makes one, which you can see the bottle here.
White Creme de Cacao. This is a sweet, clear liqueur with a milk chocolate flavor. There is also a dark creme, but this will color the drink brown.
Half & Half. If desired for a thicker or thinner drink, you can also use whole milk, heavy cream, or a non-dairy alternative. However, there are other dairy products in this recipe.
Vodka. Just the right base with no added flavors although Vanilla vodka would be an excellent variation if you want to add some warmth. Smirnoff is one of the best values for mixed drinks but brands like Stolichnaya, Absolut, and others work just as well.
Garnishes. I use these melting white chocolate wafers, raspberries on a toothpick, and tiny sprinkles suitable for the holiday. Melted white chocolate chips are ok (may clump more), but don’t use chocolate syrup. You could also add strawberries, white chocolate shavings, or a dusting of cocoa powder.

How to Rim a Glass with Sprinkles
First, you’ll need something to dip your glass in and “glue” the sprinkles – something thick and edible! For this cocktail, I used melted white chocolate. It will give you a pop of color behind them so keep that in mind!
Here’s a few other coating ideas that I have used:
- Honey
- Corn Syrup
- Chocolate (Melted)
- Colorful Candy Melts (Melted)
- Icing or Frosting
Clean all glassware and make sure that it is completely dry before using. Water and chocolate don’t mix. Pile up the sprinkles on a small dish and melt the chocolate according to instructions.
To start, invert the martini glass and press straight down into the chocolate mixture. Pull the glass up and allow any excess chocolate to drip off. (Photo 1 above)
Next, dip the glass upside down into the sprinkles. (Photo 2 above) Then pick up the glass and press the sides into the sprinkles, picking up and rotating the glass to move around the edge. (photo 3 above) You can fill in any bare spots as you notice them. Allow to harden before pouring the drink into the glasses.
Pro Tip: Wait a few minutes to let the melted chocolate cool and set-up a bit before dipping the glasses. This makes the chocolate less likely to slide and will help keep the sprinkles in place better.
Chocolatini Recipe Tips
- If the first rimmed glass doesn’t look good, you can rinse it under warm water to remove the rim and redo. Make sure to rinse the glass under cold water again – so the glass isn’t warm – and dry completely.
- No need to chill the glasses before making cocktails.
- Tiny sprinkles are best as they are less likely to slide down the glass.
- Martini or Coupe glasses work perfectly for this recipe.
- The glasses can be rimmed the day before.
Recipe FAQs
Yes. Most brands of chocolate liqueur are around 30 proof or 15% alcohol by volume.
Godiva uses a proprietary blend that doesn’t actually state anywhere on the bottle or website what type of alcohol is mixed with the chocolate and vanilla flavors. It is assumed to be something like vodka, but other brands use Irish Whiskey.
Contradictory, chocolate liquor does not contain alcohol. Instead, it is made by separating the cocoa beans (nibs). Chocolate liqueur, on the other hand, is an alcoholic spirit used for some desserts and sweet cocktails.

White Chocolate Martini
Equipment
- Martini Glasses or Coupe Glasses
- Cocktail Swords Optional
Ingredients
Martini Cocktail
- 2 oz Vodka
- 2 oz White Chocolate Liqueur Brands include Godiva, Mozart, or Merry's
- 1 oz White Creme De Cacao a clear, milk chocolate flavor Liqueur
- 1 oz Half and Half
Garnishes
- Sprinkles tiny ones are best
- Melting white chocolate
- 3 Raspberries
Instructions
- Pour sprinkles on a rimmed dish or small plate. Try to pile them around where the glass will be dipped. Thread raspberries on a toothpick for garnishes.
- Melt the white chocolate and pour over a small plate. Wait several minutes for the chocolate to cool just enough to set up. Invert the martini glass and press the rim straight down into the chocolate mixture. Pull the glass up and allow any excess chocolate to drip off.
- Dip the rim of the upside down martini glass into the sprinkles gently so they grab around the edge. For more sprinkles, at an angle, press the sides into the sprinkles, picking up and rotating the glass to move around the edge. You can fill in any bare spots as you notice them. Set glass aside and allow to harden before pouring the drink into the glasses.
- In a cocktail shaker, add ice. Pour white chocolate liqueur, white crème de cacao, vodka, and half & half. Cover and shake for 20 seconds. Strain into the martini glasses. Serve immediately with raspberries on the rim for garnish.
Notes
- Place the martini glass in the freezer for an hour so it keeps your martini chilled. This makes the chocolate much harden faster so keep that in mind.
- Rimming can be done ahead of time to make for a party or girl’s night.
- You can substitute heavy cream or whole milk for the half and half.
- If you want even more vanilla flavor, add ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract or use a Vanilla Vodka
- The nutrition facts are an estimate since liquor labels do not have nutritional information on them.
- If the first rimmed glass doesn’t look good, you can rinse it under warm water to remove the rim and redo. Make sure to rinse the glass under cold water again – so the glass isn’t warm – and dry completely.
