This vibrant Broccoli Apple Salad recipe is a fresh side dish great for a party or potluck. It's packed with sweet apples, crunchy pecans, broccoli and tossed in a tangy dressing.
NOTE: Flavors marinate well after sitting for a few hours, and using firm ingredients prevents the “soggy salad” effect.
1
Mix together ingredients in a bowl. Chill in refrigerator until ready to use.
1
Make the dressing a day ahead of time to meld and burst with crisp flavor!
2
Lay them on a pan in an even layer and bake for 8-12 minutes at 350, flipping half way through.
3
Toss the diced apples in the lemon juice to keep them fresher. In a salad bowl toss together broccoli, apples, pecans, slaw, raisins, and red onion. Pour in dressing and toss to evenly coated.
This salad is excellent the next day and the dressing keeps the apples from turning brown. Store in the refrigerator in an airtight container. Lasts 3-4 days.
