Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb Boar's Head Ham
  • 8 Slices Swiss Cheese I used Boar's Head Baby Swiss
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp butter melted
  • 4 tbsp Mustard
  • 2 tsp poppy seeds
  • 1 tube refrigerated dough or pizza dough

Instructions

  • Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • In a small bowl, melt the butter in the microwave or on a stovetop. Add the mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and poppy seeds. Stir well until sauce is consistent.
  • Unroll a tube of refrigerated crescent dough and press together each of the seams. (*see note) Using a brush or a spoon, brush about 2/3 of the mustard sauce lightly onto the dough.
  • Layer the Ham and Swiss Cheese, covering the entire dough except for 1 inch on a short side. Fold the excess 1 inch over top of the ham. Continue rolling to the other end, like a jelly roll. No need to roll too tightly; the dough will expand as it bakes. Press seam together to seal.
  • Slice the roll into even sections. Place rolls into ungreased muffin tins.
  • Brush the remaining mustard sauce on top of the rolls.
  • Bake for about 14-17 minutes, depending on how thick your rolls are. You will know when they are done when they are golden brown on top with slightly darkened edges. Allow to cool for a few minutes before removing from tins.

Notes

I cut the refrigerated dough into four rolls and put them into jumbo muffin tins to bake. That makes them slightly smaller than a jumbo muffin, but you can make them into smaller sizes easily too. Cut the dough in half crosswise (shortest side), and roll up the two sections as normal, then cut them into four rolls, making a total of eight rolls.
