I finally got around to dressing up my kitchen window with a small herb container garden. Now that cooking is starting to happen on a somewhat steady basis at the new house, these beauties will come in handy.
The herbs smell delicious in the kitchen. I purchased 8 self watering containers to cover my sill. Since this is my first year, I only labeled four of them until I decide how many of each I want to keep on hand. From my huge scrapbooking stash, I picked a letter set I wanted to use (foam thickers). After positioning them on the pots, I traced around the foam with a pencil. I then removed the sticker and colored in the etching with a silver sharpie. Most of my kitchen is some variation of white or brown so this pop of color is just what it needed.
This window herb garden will come in very handy when my tomatoes come in. One item on my summer bucket list is to perfect my homemade spaghetti sauce! Plus, there is always fresh pesto and caprese salad.
