Blackberry Bourbon Smash is a modern update of a classic fruity cocktail, this versatile and balanced libation is perfect for summer sipping and fireside warmth.
Cocktail Shaker Strainer Muddler or thick handle
2 oz Bourbon ¼ cup Blackberries, rinsed 1 tablespoon Simple syrup 1-2 ounces Soda Water Garnishes: 3-4 Fresh Mint Leaves 1 Lemon Wedge Ice Cubes
To a cocktail shaker, add the blackberries and mint leaves. Gently smush until the berries are well broken down. The mint leaves should be mostly intact as you just want to release the essence.

Add simple syrup and bourbon to the shaker and fill with ice. Using a long spoon, stir vigorously until very cold.

Fill a glass with ice. Use a strainer to pour the bourbon mixture into the glass. Top off the glass with soda water. Garnish as desired.
