We live in a an age where sometimes I feel like our house is getting smarter than us. Ok, not really, but there are just so many fun technological advances in creating a home that works for you. Over the last year, I have been doing some research on “smart homes” and testing out some products in our home. Initially, it was our touchscreen door lock, then it was wi-fi controlled lightbulbs for the basement. And now, managing the outdoor Christmas lights is my newest automation adventure (because I forget to turn them on or off all the time!) But then there were problems…
A few months ago, I kicked off two transformations simultaneously. Yes, we have been busy little bees, but the payoff as vacation starts is going to make our summer so much more relaxing. Not only is the new dining room my happy place, but the boys’s closet makeover is killin’ it!
We have a lot of guests and enjoy the laughter and food that summer brings, but I also want to stay on top of the cleaning so that when guests arrive, I am not stressed out with a long list of cleaning to-dos. There’s even a handy printable kitchen deep cleaning list to break it up into mini-projects if you wish.
Some projects have to wait for the right Aha! moment. Today’s military footlocker transformation is like that. Rustoleum challenged me to complete a project alongside 40 other bloggers and you get to vote the winner!
What do you do with the space under a raised deck? Turn it into an outdoor storage space!
This is our small closet Laundry Room Makeover – Cabinet and Open Shelves for organization and storage in light grey and yellow color scheme.
