Finding a perfect tree topper can be a challenge, and a few years ago I was at a complete loss as to what to put atop my Christmas tree. So I made my own three-dimensional star and I would like to show a little tutorial about how to make your own 3-D star. You can top your Christmas tree or even hang them to use as a pretty decoration.
It’s the time of year…where the world falls in love…Merry Christmas! Yes, I am a totally a dork this time of year. My family spent the weekend hunting down a Christmas tree and decking the halls. There was hot chocolate (or chai tea for me) and holiday music filled the air. This is our first […]
I am so happy to have a fireplace in the house and that means I have my first-ever mantle to decorate! I knew I needed a statement piece, and so I made this Merry and Bright Christmas sign! I LOVE this piece and I seriously skip a step whenever I walk by the mantle and […]
List of Christmas Activity Ideas for use in an advent calendar or bucket list.
I whipped up an easy patriotic DIY centerpiece idea this past weekend. What can you make with empty wine bottles and loads of glitter? Amazingly classy DIY ombre glitter bottles, of course! I went with the classic red, white, and blue colors for this table centerpiece. The bright red flowers are a great contrast to these ombre white and blue wine bottles.
Today I am sharing a homemade father’s day gift my family gave to the big guy last year. It is a super easy craft that is a beautiful gift from a preschool or toddler aged child. I just love when crafts are both easy and really special. The best part for me is that kids get to join in on the fun of making a craft for Father’s Day too! And it will be a very nice keepsake.
That special time of year where we celebrate the great mom’s around the world is soon coming. (I was also born the day before Mother’s Day so it is doubly awesome!) This year, Mother’s Day will be May 11, 2014 and you will be ready to show those precious mothers and grandmothers how special they […]
I’ve been on a bender. Pull up a chair! I am sharing a recipe I developed for a St. Patty’s Day inspired dessert. Ok, the Bailey’s is the only thing that makes it remotely similar to St. Patrick’s Day. But trust me, this Bailey’s cake is amazing! It’s a white chocolate and walnut flavored cake topped […]
In my own personal experience, I have learned that appreciation ranks high among men. Speaking in broad stereotypes, men want appreciation the way women want romance. With that in mind, I came up with a simple but meaningful valentine idea. I made a cut-file with my silhouette cameos of 10 hearts. I made a list of […]
Happy New Year! Hope you all had a great holiday week. Hubby and I spent our New Year’s Ever driving 13 hours back from visiting grand ol’ Nashville and my family. We got back exactly 5 minutes after midnight. It was a great trip visiting both sets of grandparents and our families. We spent Christmas […]
We got our first snow today! They predicted 1-2 inches of snow and, as usual, the predictions were terribly wrong. In the past, I have literally been watching the weather channel say we are getting 2 inches while I am looking out my window and seeing at least 5 already on the ground. So far we have […]
My goodness! I can’t believe Thanksgiving is here so soon. I have so many plans for this Christmas season to share with you. I have been hard at work finishing up the foundation of this year’s December daily album. I have lots of fun goodies in mind for the interior and some tutorials. I also have […]
