I am sharing a recipe for a simple avocado salsa that I have been diving into all summer. A great recipe for picnics and cookouts, I get compliments on this fresh and simple salad all the time. It can be served as a dip with crackers or tortilla chips. I often also serve it as a side dish salad since I like it chunky.
The great thing about this recipe is that you can use it as a base and experiment with different flavors depending on your tastes.
I have added:
- 1 avocado
- 3 medium tomatoes
- 1/4 red onion
- 1 Tbsp cilantro
- 1/2 can black beans (14 oz) rinsed
- pinch Salt
- optional : jalapenos, lime juice, pineapple bits as desired
- Dice avocado, tomatoes, onion. Finely chop cilantro sprigs. Add all ingredients together and stir. Sprinkle with lime juice if preferred.
