Have I told you how obsessed with HomeGoods I am? It is definitely my favorite store, both for the unique selection and the prices. I try to make a trip every few weeks because the selection changes so fast. I walk in wide eyed like a child strolling through the gates of the Willy Wonka Factory. I am both huntress and star-struck gazer in that store. I will be stalking deals on the perfect vase for the mantel and then I get distracted. I covet that glitter encrusted vase that I have no idea what to do with, but I want it! Things that I had no idea I needed always find their way to my cart.Thankfully, I have enough sense to look through my cart before checkout and give my practicality and budget a second chance to change my mind. Sometimes the adult in me really is my saving grace, sometimes.
Anyways, I had been looking high and low for lamps for our guest room to fit the beachy, coastal theme. Lamps are downright evil expensive or lack the level of character I was looking for. I remember the day I found these huge glass lamps at HomeGoods. I was so excited because I could fill and decorate them however I wanted. My purchase totally made up for the fact that I had to deal with some crazy lady huffing at me because I could not unlock my car door fast enough for her. You know the type – the 22-year-old who can’t see past her knockoff Dior sunglasses, acting better than everyone cuz they be classy, ya’ll. Even she could not thwart my enthusiasm.
I love the woven rope accent on the lamps and the burlap lampshade. I stopped over at Micheal’s and picked up a big bag of seashells for each lamp. The lamps cost $35 each and the seashells for $10 per bag. I stacked the sea shells so that my favorites were on the outside. So happy with this super simple idea! Thank you HomeGoods!
