Gosh, has it really been 6 weeks already?! This living room was a major project to take on and the six week timeline seemed almost impossible. But here it is, reveal day, and I have got a lot of progress to show.
First, let me remind you of the before:
Did I make all of the changes I wanted?
Six weeks is a very challenging timeline. One of the BIG projects we were supposed to complete was installing all new hardwood floors. We chose this lovely Manor Hickory 5in solid hardwoods from Columbia Flooring. Unfortunately, they won’t be installed for a few weeks. We chose a very popular flooring during the busiest time of the year, so the inventory is a bit low. Rather than selecting another hardwood, we decided the wait would be worth it. Although that means I am taking pictures today without floors, this is actually a good thing for us because it gave us time to complete other projects we should have been doing before anyhow like painting the entryway. Don’t worry, I will update everything as soon as the floors come in so stay tuned!
But that won’t stop the party! We moved all of the furniture back into the room just for today’s reveal.
Here is where we are today:
The gallery wall has actually changed a bit to make all the colors flow.
The entertainment center was our grandest project! Hubby and I (mostly him) built the center console to match the rest. Then I painted the entire center in Fusion Mineral in Champlain. Check out the source list if your interested in trying it out.
We also built a table for behind the sofa. I’ll detail that in a later post.
Love my little reading area. You will definitely find me there right next to the fire during the upcoming winter nights. Overall, I am very happy with how the room is turning out! The holidays are coming fast and I am so excited to get this space (and the entire house) all decked out for Christmas and home tours.
I want to thank all of the sponsors who helped this room come to life!
I hope you are inspired to take on your own room! I’ve joined with over 100 very talented bloggers and friends to tackle their own rooms.
