I’m back with the lovely ladies from the #MakeIt Challenge group with an easy Thanksgiving craft to decorate your table with! As I shared on Friday, I have been massively hard at work on the dining room so that it will be ready for the holidays. I love cooking for my family, extended family, and friends and mostly anyone who will eat it. So I look forward to being in the kitchen making that insanely large Thanksgiving meal. And, of course, a beautifully decorated table would just make me all warm and fuzzy.
For this project, I only needed three things. If you intend to keep these or be able to wash them without fading, I recommend using markers specifically made for fabrics. Sharpies may bleed or fade depending on your place mat but the choice is up to you. I made my own stencil using my silhouette cameo. If you don’t have one, you can easily print and cut out the letters with a craft knife or use your own handwriting. My handwriting is awful so I went this route. The feather was just an image I found on the internet.
All I did was lay my stencil over top of the place mat and color in as I liked. Personally, I wish I had found a table mat that didn’t have ridges but you can see that it worked out just fine. My son even helped me color them in!
Now we have a nice setting to go with the table centerpiece I made for last month’s #MakeIt challenge.
