Another layout from my stash! My newest shipment of scrapbook goodies was delayed due to weather but it arrived on Saturday. The feeling I get opening that box is awesome! This one is titled “Rock and Roll”.
This one incorporates papers and embellishments from A Boy’s Life collection from Echo Park. I wanted to convey the funky, bright, and boyish qualities of the photo. I honestly was surprised that I found a collection which such bold primary colors to complement the picture. To make this layout, I used two coordinating patterns as my focus and then layered several stickers from the 12 x 12 sticker sheet.
I choose the rock and roll title because the glasses remind me of the kind Elton John used to wear. Although I have an ample supply of adornments to fit any occasion such as flowers, brads, or arrows, I personally like to have my embellishments “make sense”. The balance of utilizing the space and having the embellishments relate is important in my overall design. This means I often have to think outside the box to fit beautiful embellishments. What creative ways do you use embellishments?
Have a great day!
