Vanilla Mint Sugar Scrub -Are you looking for a great handmade gift idea? Our easy DIY Sugar Scrub cleanse and exfoliate skin, all while relaxing your body.
I am posting not only a DIY body scrub recipe but also offering a Gift Tag Printable Free for download! St. Patrick’s Day is coming soon and I am terrible with crafts for this holiday for some reason. I even usually forget to wear green to be totally honest.
I have been a huge fan of body scrubs for years. I love all kinds from sugar to salt scrubs, even cacao beans. It is a great exfoliator, makes shaving easier, smells and feels and looks so good, is contains wonderfully healthy ingredients. This recipe is non-toxic, and even potentially edible (although I don’t recommend it since it is mostly sugar, oil, and salt). However, yeah, I tasted it. Couldn’t help myself.
The Vanilla Mint Version that I am sharing today smells like ice cream! But don’t worry, the smell doesn’t last super long on your skin. In aromatherapy, Mint is considered a clean and energizing scent. Supposedly it helps with blood circulation and digestive health, although I am no doctor so I don’t make any endorsements on those benefits.
Oh, and there’s more! This is a great DIY gift idea that takes less than 10 minutes to make. Since St. Patrick’s Day is coming up, I made up some FREE PRINTABLE GIFT TAGS! These gift tags are really for any gift and not just for the sugar scrub.

1 1/2 cups sugar
1 tbsp sea salt, finely ground (optional)
1/3 cup refined coconut oil, melted
1-2 drop of green food coloring (this little will not stain skin)
1 tsp vanilla extract (instructions to make your own)
Instructions – In a bowl, add sugar and salt. Add melted coconut oil, extracts, and food coloring. Mix with a flat spoon or hands, making sure to scrape the sides of the bowl. If mixing with hands, thoroughly spread food coloring to lessen the risk of getting some concentrated color on your skin.
