Today was a fabulous day for me. Work gave me a nice (and unexpected) visa gift card for Christmas! I also got to do an adorable photoshoot with my ever luvable pooch, Diesel. And I spent some time prepping for tomorrow’s cookie baking adventures. I try not to make a whole lot of cookies at Christmas time, but all the recipies look so yummy!
I also printed off the pictures from the first two days of my December Daily album. My album this year incorporates the Santa’s List line from Teresa Collins, which is absolutely gorgeous. It also is versatile because I added some festive greens and other embellishments.
I have a confession though. I haven’t done the cover! I just couldn’t see it in my mind yet so I figured it would come together as the album itself moved along.
The subway style text art is beautiful, isn’t it? You can get the printable here.
The inside cover will be a letter about this year’s Christmas and why I am doing this album. We will be purchasing a new house and so many exciting changes are coming in the new year and I wanted to document that before it all changes. However, the letter obviously isn’t written yet because I have the most terrible handwriting. ITS.SO.BAD. In fact, I usually write in pencil (as legible as possible) and then have my husband write over it. I try not to bug him every day to write for me.
This shows my advent calendar (which serves as the basis for my holiday schedule) and our trip to the farm to cut our own Christmas tree. You can see a lot more of how we do our advent calendar for Christmas time here. I adore the tree paperclip from Webster’s pages. It wasn’t quite the right color green so I slathered glue all over it and dipped it in glitter to make it stand out.
And here is day 2, decorating the house. I just LOVE those reindeer.
Hope everyone is enjoying their Christmas season! Now, back to more mouthwatering cookies recipe pictures.
Update- I made a video featuring my ENTIRE completed December Daily 2013 here.
