Happy New Year!
Hope you all had a great holiday week. Hubby and I spent our New Year’s Ever driving 13 hours back from visiting grand ol’ Nashville and my family. We got back exactly 5 minutes after midnight. It was a great trip visiting both sets of grandparents and our families. We spent Christmas with Hubby’s family and the week after with my family. It was so much fun and I got some great memories for my December Journal.
Of course, with all of the travel, I couldn’t keep up with my December daily album but I should finish it up soon and I will post a video and wrap-up post. In the meantime, I finally finished the cover of the December Daily album!
I used an album from the Basic Grey Capture Collection. I just love the wood grain texture! I painted it grey and added some shimmer mist. The rest of the accents are from the Teresa Collins Santas list collection. I also added some trim from the embroidery thread I twisted. The tutorial for that is here.
I love how this cover turned out! Its simple and beautiful just the way I like it. It really inspires me to finish the last few items from my album. I am going to take the next week to do that and reminisce about all the wonderful times we had during the holidays. The vacation also gave me some time to think about how to better organize this site and my goals in the new year. I can’t wait to share both with you.
