Greeting readers of Craving Some Creativity! My name is Christina, visiting today from the SWEET HAUTE Blog where I write about ‘La Dolce Vita’, which means…the sweet life!, where you can find DIY Home Lifestyle ideas and tips. I’m here today with a Guest Post that is an, easy breezy DIY decor project, yet it makes a huge visual impact for not a lot of money. It is a Cherry Blossom Accent Wall feature…just in time for Spring.
My Spring Laundry Room reveal is coming soon and that is where my Cherry Blossom wall calls home. Be sure to visit me again for the big REVEAL.
You may already have all the supplies you need in your crafty DIY arsenal since all you essentially need is card stock or thick paper, scissors, thumb tacks, and some spare time. The time part is what might be hard to come by. If you are really lucky, you might have a craft cutting machine similar to a Silhouette Portrait /CameoorCricut to do the cutting for you.
Step 1:Trace out your flowers (3 different sizes), leaves, and branches. I used the bottom template as a guide then I free-handed and created three sizes of flower ‘guides’ as well as the leaves andbranches- free hand.
Cut, sort, and bend the petals up for the 3D effect.
Pin each branch, flower stack, and leaves with thumbtacks.
This DIY project is so easy to do and you can get your kids involved too if they are old enough to use a steady hand with scissors.
I try to come up with the most inexpensive way to DIY something yet also include tips so others can use the same technique for any theme.
