It’s the close of another year and wow, what a difference a year makes. I love this time of year when we all take some time to reflect on the happenings of the past year. It’s been a big year here both on the blog and in real life. From the huge changes in the house to watching my son mature another year (so proud of him!), I just want to hold on to it all. I know some of you probably feel the same way, especially if you have children. I also know that, moving forward, there will be changes coming and I am so excited to see what the new year brings. But more on that later.
I also want to thank all of you who have shared even a small part of this hectic, creative blog where I am grateful to have built a community of creativity and every day problem solving. I have received countless emails and questions from past articles that I cherish beyond measure. Oh, and the finished projects and recipe feedback are definitely my favorites. I feel blessed that you would even take the time to connect and share with me your own creations.
With all of that said, I will be taking some time in January to do some site updates and upgrades. It has always been important to me to make the experience as best as possible so I want to take some time to do that. There will also be new projects and even bigger surprises that I have planned. Don’t worry, I’ll be back in a few short weeks. And you will want to see what’s coming!
Without further adieu, I give you the top 10 posts or projects from 2016. I have only included posts from this year but if you would like to see previous years you can check out 2015’s Top 10 and 2014 Top 10 (You will see how much has changed in two years!)
First Up, the mini-fridge. This one definitely deserves to be on the list and it looks so good even today.
This frosting is so unbelievably good! I’m pretty sure I have made it six times this year and I made up a reason for at least 2 of those.
First room that we can call DONE in the house!
I love parties and this one was my favorite of all. It’s all about the ravens!
This small room was a major change. It’s waaaaay better than before but I hope to change out a few things one day. For now, it’s organized, bright and much more enjoyable to do laundry (if that’s even possible).
This was our biggest DIY ever. If you haven’t seen the before, it deserves checking out. I still can’t believe how much better and professional it looks.
Who knew that so many people suffered from ugly baseboards like we did? No more (well, almost, there is still one room).
I adore this gallery wall. Everyone should have at least one space to dedicate to what matter most in their lives.
I always have tons of squash pouring in from the garden and frankly, there only so much you can do with it if you freeze it. Muffins are a fantastically tasty solution!
Do you have a favorite from this year’s projects? Or a favorite that you accomplished on your own? Or maybe a big 2017 plan that you can’t wait to start? I can’t wait to show you what we and our can-do spirit are planning for our resolutions this year.
