We all know that Moms deserve to be celebrated throughout the year, but having an official day like Mother’s Day at least reminds us to take that special time to show mom that we care. My own Mom worked so hard and put our needs above her own. Although I was very close with my mother, it wasn’t until I became a mother myself that I truly appreciated the never ending support, unconditional love, and maybe even the unsolicited advice she gave in order to guide me through the ups and downs of life. Giving our moms handmade gifts on important days like her birthday or Mother’s Day is really a good way to show how truly awesome your mother is and how much you love her. This year, I will be giving my mom a homemade gift basket that incorporates several of the Mother’s Day ideas below (because she is so worth it!)
